HSPT Prep Fall is a nine week course that prepares students for all five sections of the HSPT; Verbal Skills, Quantitative Skills, Reading, Language, and Mathematics. Each student will have two instructors...a Math teacher who covers the Quantitative Skills and Math sections and an English teacher who reviews the Verbal Skills, Reading, and Language sections. Week 1 provides an overview of the course, the HSPT, and provides students with a modified practice test. Weeks 2-5 will either focus on the Math related topics with a Math instructor or cover the ELA related topics with an English. If students start with Math, Weeks 6-9 will cover ELA and if they start with ELA, the last four weeks are with a Math instructor (essentially, half of the students start with Math and then switch instructors while the other half start with ELA). The course focuses on the knowledge, skills, and strategies necessary to be successful on the HSPT. The class is live through Zoom and all classes are recorded for students unable to make the class. The format is incredibly flexible and allows students to switch days to accommodate their busy schedules (e.g., change of practice schedule, Back to School Night, etc.). If Register for the day of the week that work best for you, but know that you can switch days at any point. For example, it's common that coaches will switch days of the week for practices and game days change all the time. In those cases, you can switch days of the week.
