The John Carroll School

HSPT Prep In-Person is a ONE DAY course that prepares students for all five sections of the HSPT; Verbal Skills, Quantitative Skills, Reading, Language, and Mathematics. Each student will have two instructors...a Math teacher who covers the Quantitative Skills and Math sections and an English teacher who reviews the Verbal Skills, Reading, and Language sections. Part 1 from 9:00-11:45 will either focus on the Math related topics with a Math instructor or cover the ELA related topics with an English. If students start with Math, Part 2 from 12:15-3:00 will cover ELA and if they started with ELA, the Part 2 is with a Math instructor (essentially, half of the students start with Math and then switch instructors while the other half start with ELA). Students will be provided lunch from 11:45 to 12:15 (menu to be sent closer to November 23rd). The course focuses on the knowledge, skills, and strategies necessary to be successful on the HSPT. The class is in-person at The John Carroll School in Bel Air, MD.
